Bispham with Norbreck Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 866

Friday 11th April 2025 at the Masonic Hall, Adelaide Street, Blackpool.
The first meeting for the new WM, Bro. Joe Codling, was to be an advancement!
The Lodge was opened by the WM, with twenty-four members and visitors present, plus the candidate.
A number of Officers were missing on the night, and substitutes were called upon at the last minute to help out: WBro. Alan Barnes SW, WBro. Andy Stansfield as JO, WBro. Clive Gitsham as SO. WBro. Peter Maxwell climbed out of his sick bed and acted as SD for the night.  All happy to help as usual.
A eulogy was read by the WM for WBro. Frank Kennedy who passed away on the 4th March.
The business of the meeting was rapidly worked through up to the advancement.
Bro. Roy Morden proposed by WBro. Giles Berkley and seconded by Bro. Carl Spindler (recently advanced), was balloted for which proved in favour.
The WM conducted the first part of the ceremony and then requested that WBro. James Rashid occupied the chair for the second part with WBro. Giles Berkley rounding the ceremony off with the last part.
Bro. Roy Morden was well and truly advanced into the Mark Degree and from the smile on his face he thoroughly enjoyed it.

A letter of welcome from the RWPGM was presented to the newly advanced brother by WBro. Cross.
The Lodge business was completed and was closed by the WM. The Brethren adjourned to the bar and onto the festive board for an excellent meal accompanied by a great atmosphere and craic!

WBro. Rashid accompanied the brethren on the piano with the National Anthem. Practice as they say will make it perfect!
A Fylde Coast fiddle was organised by WBro. Steve Smith and raised £122 for charity!

A great night was had by all!!!
